In an effort to due a bit more for charity, we’ve organised our first bike ride to our delightful sister pub in Northumberland, The Tannery. We’re looking for people of all ages to join us as we cycle 25 miles in aid of Dog’s Trust.
The ride will start at The Brandling Villa at 11am (opening at 10am for brekky), making pitstops at The Boathouse in Wylam & The Angel of Corbridge, finally getting to Hexham in the afternoon. Bikes will be transported back to the BV, freeing you up for a celebratory session or a slow crawl back on the train.
Suggested entry donation is £20 & includes a Tour De Frank T-Shirt & a free pint at the finish line.
Register before the 16th by either returning a completed form or booking below.
The Dogs Trust, formerly known as the National Canine Defence League, is an animal welfare charity and humane society in the United Kingdom which specialises in the well-being of dogs. The charity rehabilitates and finds new homes for dogs which have been abandoned or given up by their owners. People are encouraged to sponsor a dog for at least £1 a week, even if they are not able to rehome the dog. It also runs microchipping and neutering schemes in the United Kingdom and abroad, in order to reduce the number of unwanted litters of puppies and stray dogs euthanized by other organisations.
Dogs Trust has 20 rehoming centres across the UK, and its first international rehoming centre opened in November 2009 in Dublin, Ireland. The charity does not put any healthy dogs down. Read more about Dog's Trust here.
